Faithfulness and Trustful heart come together

Faith has various definition. Let's see some verses in Lk 17! {Luke 17:5-9} The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, A) “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. B) Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? Will he not rather say to him, ‘ Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? .. So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty .’” A) talks about faith by trust, faith by talking/proclaiming the Word of God. B) talks about faithfulness: constant reliable trustworthy useful relationship between master and slave. ...

The Stage effect – III

tools → Stage Effect A brief but important study for vitalizing the church's priesthood identity This writing is the direct extension of the Stage effect, part I. Here, I would like to give some practical biblical examples of the Earthly settings of the Kingdom of Heaven. Interestingly, this is partly about architecture. Meditation By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. {that the visible came out of the invisible} Heb 12:3 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2Cor 4:18 Main chapters The approach of the article The dynamics of the community Old Testament buildings and their activities New Testament Church/es and their activities Post Millennial Questions   Notices: Stage effect can be dimin...

The anonymous man VS Boaz

Image
Now Boaz had gone up to the gate and sat down there. And behold, the redeemer, of whom Boaz had spoken, came by. So Boaz said, “Turn aside, friend; sit down here.” And he turned aside and sat down. And he took ten men of the elders of the city and said, “Sit down here.” So they sat down. Then he said to the redeemer, “Naomi, who has come back from the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land that belonged to our relative Elimelech. So I thought I would tell you of it and say, ‘Buy it in the presence of those sitting here and in the presence of the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it. But if you will not, tell me, that I may know, for there is no one besides you to redeem it, and I come after you.” And he said, “I will redeem it.” Then Boaz said, “The day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you also acquire Ruth the Moabite, the widow of the dead, in order to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance.” (Deut 25,5-10) Then the redeemer said, “...

Our awareness of the need

Image
Preaching on Mark 9:17-18 Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones said: “You must become aware of your need, of your impotence, of your helplessness. You must realise that you are confronted by something that is too deep for your methods to get rid of, or to deal with, and you need something that can go down beneath that evil power, and shatter it ... and there is only one thing that can do that, and that is the power of God. And we too, must become aware of that, we have got to feel it until we become desperate. We must ask ourselves how we can succeed if we do not have this authority, this commission, this might and strength and power. We must become utterly and absolutely convinced of our need. We must cease to have so much confidence in ourselves, and in all our methods and organisations, and in all our slickness. We have got to realise that we must be filled with God’s Spirit. And we must be equally certain that God can fill us with his Spirit. We have got to realise that however great ...
