In that day the root of Jesse 1 , who shall stand as a signal 3 for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious. In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people 4 , from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea. Looking, weeping, and living

About Zech 12:10 By David Guzik – Enduring Word Today, let's talk about looking, weeping, and living . I'm going to read you from Zechariah 12, verse 10, where we read this. And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and supplication. Then they will look on me whom they have pierced. Yes, they will mourn for him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for him as one grieves for a firstborn. Zechariah 12:10 Zechariah 12 is all about a great outpouring of the spirit of God upon his ancient people of Israel. He promises to bless, restore, and strengthen them in the last days. As Zechariah tells us in chapter 12, verse 10, part of this great outpouring of strength and might to defend Jerusalem will be an outpouring of his spirit. But it will be for grace and supplication. God will move among Israel and bring saving grace and repentant prayer. Then God made a remarkable promise: Then they will look o...

The misled leader 2

and the teetering vessel of the Lord Study 2. The conflict described in 2 Samuel 6 is really a conflict between David and the Lord. Although it is an incident with dire consequences, despite its dramatic beginning, it is an extremely powerful departure for David, a cleansing and righting of his personal identity and his worship. The spiritual foundation of his kingdom was here solidified for the next period of history. The reasons for the Uzza conflict, in brief The kings of Israel were informed about the order of the Holy things, including the use and transport of the tabernacle and ark. The community of the ark is not only the community of the priesthood but also the community of the king. .... When David entered the new, triumphant era of his life as king of his nation, he was subject to the ordinances as were all Levitical priests and leaders. So he had to be informed about the transport of the ark. Well. He was not informed. Two things, two ...

The misled leader

Image
and the teetering vessel of the Lord Study David again brought together all the able young men of Israel—thirty thousand. He and all his men went to Baalah 1 in Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, the name of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim on the ark. They set the ark of God on a new cart and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart with the ark of God on it, and Ahio was walking in front of it. David and all Israel were celebrating with all their might before the Lord, with castanets, 2 harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals. When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of God. Then David w...

Praise, Pray, Proclaim

© jhopfan.org This article is a part of the "Vitalize" pack Isaiah 62:6 Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen on your walls; they will never be silent, day or night. There is no rest for you, who remind the Lord. Do not give Him rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem the praise of the earth. · Does this statement only apply to Jerusalem? · Has the revelation been fulfilled? · Definition of guard? We are to continually praise, glorify and worship God – because Jesus prays that God's Kingdom will come and His will be done here on earth, as it is in the Heaven . And in heaven, there is constant praise, worship and adoration. (I wrote a study about the reflection of the Heaven here. ) We're the royal priesthood in the New Testament. So the basic priestly ministries of prayer, fasting, thanksgiving, worship and representation are our responsibility. Although you see a different order on the jhopfan.or...

Prophetic things

Image
Intro It is key that we, Christians live in the New Testament. We all have free access to the throne: free communication and close relationship in the heavenly family. God hardly speaks through one man alone {like in the Old Testament}, for the purpose of leading individuals and communities personally on the subject. That is why prophets who walk by faith must never go in an abusive direction or walk in well-meaning platitudes. The prophetic work / subject /person is so badly treated through the "mainstream" in the Church that the majority has only an American movie-character in his/her mind. And sadly, Obi Van is stronger than that character in the minds. But let us examine first: • What is the prophet • Who is the prophet • What is the main difference between the Old Testament and New Testament prophecy Old Testament example: Elisha and Elijah God did not say to Elisha, ‘I think I'll send you to one of the schools of t...

Banner Over the Nations

Is 11:12-12 On that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time   to recover the remnant that is left of his people, He will raise a signal {banner} for the nations,   and will assemble the outcasts of Israel,   and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth Is. 62:6.10. On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth. ... Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up a signal {banner} over the peoples . Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.” ...

The creeping plant & the wall

Image
According to the vision, a stone wall stands strongly on which a creeping plant extends its tendrils. With its roots, it clings to the cracks in the corners of the wall and absorbs its food from there. He crawls up the wall and covers it with his leaves. Then, in another picture, this plant with its roots begins to expand in a different direction and finds the real soil below. And it is immediately undergoing a major transformation. Its tendrils and branches become extremely strong, completely embrace the wall, and when entwined it blasts it with force. → recommended article: "Reset" HU

The Birds of farmer Joseph

Image
Once a farmer lived in a valley of full bearings. His name was Joseph. He planted fabulous gardens amongst century old trees. His roses and flowery shrubs beckoned the groggy bees from miles. His fruit trees were full of cindrous peaches, flushing pears and honey coloured almonds. People from far countries admired the plants of farmer Joseph. But the neighbouring farmers didn’t envy farmer Joseph for his plants but for his birds. The sounds of twitter always could be heared in his orchard, light of the brilliant colourful feathers blinked from everywhere. The birds stormed from branch to branch. Many people wanted to find out the secret of the farmer. How can it be possible that these many rare birds stay at the farm when the other valleys meet only with ordinary orioles and nightingales? One day a distant friend came to farmer Joseph for a treat. Sure enough he wondered and asked a lot about the birds but the farmer just smiled and didn’t answer him. Nearly one week passed by the...
