W hen Jesus was born, he received a gift set consisting of three items from the wise men who had travelled from the mythical Far East. The package contained the following:  · Gold  · Frankincense  · Myrrh ... These gifts came from the Magi... from the people who were far, separated from God and His covenant.. they openly acknowledged that a majestic Ruler – greater than any earthly power – had come into the world. Well then. Why are we building a throne today? For God sits upon the throne and reigns. His kingdom comes to the earth - as it is in the Heaven. That is why we are building a throne for God here on earth as well. · Many people are working to ensure that the Kingdom of God, which they await, becomes visible in the lives and actions of believers and the congregation. Through their actions and the standard of their moral conduct, they shape a way of life and invite others to join them in it. This is not compatible ...

W hen Jesus was born he got a 3 part gift collection from the wise men who arrived from the mythical far east. The pack contained:  · Gold  · Frankincense  · Myrrh with good reason. First of all, he (his parents: Joseph and Mary) received it for practical reasons, as the family had to flee to Egypt immediately, and that is a huge undertaking even for a relatively well-off family. And they were not among them. The journey was a painful and fearful necessity, and the completely new environment demanded a whole new way of life and genuine faith.* A carpenter obviously found work in Egypt too, but for an entire family, this whole transition was not quite so simple. Women were not part of the breadwinning class, and raising children in safety and peace is not possible without a stable foundation. Secondly, these gifts came from a spiritual source (from the Magii) where people who were far from God and His covenant openly ...

Sinclair Ferguson ... What have been your most memorable experiences of worship? I imagine if this were a phone-in program, we could spend the rest of it listening to one another giving very different stories about our memories of worship that has brought us into the presence of God. For some of us, it might be the first time we were in a very large gathering and listening to people praising God together. For others of us, it might have been worship in a rural place in a faraway country with Christians who had very little, but hearts full of praise. And for some of us, it might be an occasion when we felt the density of worship in the singing, or the power of the Word of God in the preaching, or the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. No doubt, each one of us has his or her own special memory. But the thing that binds them together, as we’ve been reflecting, is that on those occasions, we have become conscious of the presence of...

Worship is a complex lifestyle in the Scriptures, not an event. Adoration, honor, praise, reverence focuses on the holiness of the majesty, the mightiness, the beauty of the Lord, – this is a constant priestly activity: sacrifice before the Lord, per-se. When we worship in holiness, unity and agreement, "God dwells among us": JHVH Shammah is his name which also clearly points to the name Immanuel : "Gd is with us". Gd's names represent His mighty character. Jesus clearly teaches that His Name should be holy before us: "hallowed be Your Name". His prayer model is the base of the everyday priestly prayer and adoration. In respect. In unity. In love. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. Psalm 20:7-8 The full article is here ☆

{Rebuilding the respect and authority of the Holy Spirit in your life} (a rude, shaking calling, because sometimes we need that) Dear Reader! Honoring the Holy Spirit does not necessarily mean that we missed the focus of Christ! We do not praise or worship anyone but the Father and Christ. We don't rejoice or worship anyone else or anything else in our blessed new status in Christ! But He, the Lord himself gave the Mighty Spirit for us. Has our relationship with God changed throughout history? Yes. We, humans had tribes, we had nation builder heroes, we had covenants. Then He the Mighty visited Abraham. Then He has built a chosen nation. Then He sent the Promised Son. Has our relationship in Christ changed throughout history? Not. He didn’t withdraw his mercy and gift. He didn't change our intimate relationship in the family. He did not renounce his power as Lord of the universe, nor the supreme authority above us and the visible authority throu...

Our Worship, Adoration & Prayer happens / works for two reasons; A. We humans worship Gd because He is the Mighty Gd and we are the creatures of his hand. He created the galaxies and - according to His Image - He created us to live in noble status before His presence. After the ruined status (the sin), He restored the sonship in us by giving us a reconciled, adopted status through His Son. B. As believers, we pray and give praise with devotion because we want to focus on our the Heavenly ID: seeing Gd by the Heaven first, learning the Heaven through Gd's eyes. We practice the new life, proclaiming & representing the Heaven as the royal priesthood: (1Pt 2:9), and from this position, "acting" the Heaven: "Your will be done on the Earth     as it is in the Heaven" · Paul's foundation · ID - Cause and Effect · Jesus' two prayer models

There was a time in my life when I rejected, both externally and internally, everything as "useless", such as spiritual gifts, etc. Such (testimony) writings will only impart profound blessings to us if we read them in a spirit of repentance and confess our own sloth and poverty. Then we cannot put them down without asking and pleading with all our hearts, Lord, fill me also with the Holy Spirit and fire! Yes, then it will be great and important, even holy, what is written on the banner of the Salvation Army: 'Blood and Fire'. We need the blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit if we do not want our lives to be poor, to be empty and fruitless. Without the blood of Jesus, there is no forgiveness, no healing (Isa.53:5) Without the Holy Spirit, there is no power, no empowerment (Acts.1:7-8) Emil Nigg Emil Nigg interviews, articles

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?.. Yet you are holy, enthroned {dwelling} on the praises of Israel. Psalm 22 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him 1 John 2:28 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us. 1 John 3:24 We are encouraged by John to abide in God, which has various meaning in the believer's life. In 1John chapter 2 and 3 we get dense apostolic visions how this relationship shapes our lives and makes ripples around us.. However, God is equally present in us and desires to live within our hearts' worship and adoration. Psalm 22, the great messianic-prophetic psalm, reveals this heavenly intimate relationship showing the out casted, Suffering Messiah who -In His Greatest sacrifice, in His death agony- gives us a glorious dimensions about Gd's dwelling: “Y...

Christian singer-guitarist László Prazsák (House of Prayer, Budapest) has collected the 12 ways of praise found in the Bible into a bunch.... What is certain is that after reading the list, we may realize how little we give to God while "praising Him" in our communities. ... in fact, it is strange that we need to talk about and teach the ways of displaying praise, since these ways are quite natural in secular praise. In many non-religious settings and situations, people freely praise their own "gods". At sporting events, secular concerts, and in worshipping false gods, people manifest almost the most natural ways of expressing their adoration. Piero Huerto Gago {unsplash.com} In the world, worship often does not need to be taught. It comes from the heart, but it is not directed at God at all... In the world we also give money for the benefit of our false idols, but our churches are barely supported. In our church communities we sing out...

Colonel, is it allowed to stick with these promises, to be so insistent on these? Isn't this blackmail? As far as I am concerned, the Word of God is the Word of God. I have no regard for myself or my faith, or my unbelief, or my doubts, Or the need of others, difficulties of others, only one thing is important: to persevere, with great earnestness and firm trust in God, standing on the promises of God, as it is written. How many times have I laid my hands on a promise: Isa. 53:5, or Luk.4:18-21, or Mark 16:18 with these words: Here it is written! Thank you for your healing by your wounds! This also applies to X, and I m not leaving from you. I just give thanks, thank You, simply thank You! One night, before falling asleep, I opened the Bible at Is. 53:5. I prayed and I said thank you for this promise, a promise with regard to a patient! "My Saviour, this is applies to her /valid, also for this poor woman!" With that I fell asleep...

The Praise and Thanksgiving For the Blood of Jesus, the worship for His Holy Blood, these were the most powerful "medicine" of mine. Without this secret, I would not have gotten over my pain. I must also point out that it is not enough, if we just say thanks quickly, in just a few minutes. It has happened that I praised and thanked him for two or three hours in the night, praising and giving thanks to the power of Jesus' blood until the pain and anxiety had passed. It is also significant in other kinds of temptations. The enemy hates all praise and thanksgiving. Yes, because they actually drive him away. Psalm 50:23 is a reality: The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies Me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!” This was one of my favourite psalms. and I have often experienced its truth. Oh, if only Christians would use it more! The fate of many would be different.. Emil Nigg Nigg articles ...

by Doreen Kellogg ..many congregations have decided to add a banner or two to their sanctuary. But often they haven't really thought through the purpose and meaning of those banners. Do banners add to worship, inspiring worshipers to reflect on who they are as children of God and what kind of God we are called to serve? Or are they merely decorations to brighten up a dull or plain space? Many people are surprised to discover that banners are not a twentieth-century invention; in fact, they are mentioned repeatedly in Scripture. A closer look at how God's Old and New Testament people used banners can help us understand how we can make them a meaningful part of our gathering and worshiping today. "Commercial" worship banners christianbanners.com Banners Identify Us The earliest biblical mention of banners occurs in Numbers 1 and 2, where God tells the children of...
