Who looks intently into the freedom

Image
..the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it , and is not a forgetful hearer but one who does good works — this person will be blessed in what he does. Jms 1:25

Prayer Basics

Image
Apostolic Instructions on Prayer, and the technical meaning of "Christ". First of all, then, I urge 1 that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone 2 , for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life 3 in all godliness and dignity. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For 5 there is one God and one mediator between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, Himself human, who gave Himself — a ransom for all 6 , a testimony at the proper time. ... I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument... 7 1Tim 2:1-6,8 (Holman C.S.B.) Notes 1 "I emphatically tell you.." It's not a command but a strong suggestion with apostolic authority. 2 "for everyone" means everyone. The next verses explain the social layers and ...

Appreciate the Good and the Merit

Image
brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, dwell in these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me – practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Phil 4:8

Two women

Image
Joseph Marie Vien: Sarah Presenting Hagar to Abraham Based on the Galatians 4 you can read here an overview +teaching about the old and new status of the believers. According to the apostolic teaching the old, child like status describes Israel and the new status refers to the adoption we have got in Christ. Meanwhile, the symbolic image of the two women, the two mothers (Abraham's concubine and his wife), gives a detailed picture of the complex spiritual family relationship between the Jewish and the Christian believer. We will use the ESV Bible. Pre When the apostle Paul speaks of the life of Abraham and about the Law, we need to see two states. One is a blessing: based on the voluntary mercy and grace of God, the other is a system: which God has prepared for the deliverance of His people and the building up of the Jewish nation. We can see that the promise, Abraham's blessing came 430 years before the giving of the Law. Moreover we will see that...

"learned, received, heard, seen"

Image
For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I urge you, then, be imitators of me. 1Cor 4:15 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Phil 4:9 Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctifiction.. 1Thess 4:1 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the...

Distinguishing between morally good and bad

Image
Suneidesis Biblical Study and Examples about consciousness & conscience pre Our next topic is one of the thinnest quality /element of the Protestant personality. Many people try to bypass the area of repentance. Primarily because in their mindset it associated with the Catholicism Protestantism "threw the baby out with the bathwater" - in some cases. Important elements such as continual priestly ministry, apostolic work - methods and the necessary confession of sins and a good conscience must be restored. So let us look at the topic of conscience. Usage Suneidesis {soon-i'-day-sis} Strong 4893 1) from a prolonged form of G4894: co-perception, i.e. moral consciousness: —conscience. 2) the consciousness of anything 3) the soul as distinguishing between what is morally good and bad, prompting to do the former and shun the latter, commending one, condemning the other For the better understanding we must look up the cogn...

The 3 weak segments of the protestant life

Image
..and their restoration This article is part of the "Vitalize" pack Pre Protestantism have seen many changes, variations, (and ramifications) since Martin Luther. Even in the early days, Calvin himself modified (theologically developed) Luther's original prophetic vision. Meanwhile, the ever-ubiquitous Catholic culture continues to "keep pace with the world" and with its needs in various human activities. I think We, faithful folks are not to be like them... We can see many strong, portfolio building trend: "come as you are" we hear "and do not change for the purse sake!" is the reason why. The result? Growth-centered mindset and technique, aiming quantity at the expense of quality. We have seen this before and although we repeat the warnings, this is a thriving practice for the sake of the church budget. The Portfolians are on the threshold, brothers! New strength and vitality In the following note, I would like to highligh...

God is Love – 2/3 ..how the three connect a study about divine love and interlocking Christian characters This article is part of the "Vitalize" pack “His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness..” 2Pt 1:3.. Pre In this very beginning I must say that there are a lot of ideas floating around about what the apostles teach about love. On the one hand, this is quite scary (knowing that there are theories about love) but it also gives us a great opportunity to investigate the original viewpoint. From the New Covenant perspective, it is important to note that God's love is much brighter for us than it was in the time of the Old Testament. I'm pro classical musician , learned to interpret the original concept and composition . My wife was a linguist so in such cases {and always} I go to the source rather than the traditional di...

Pensamos que sólo nosotros podemos

Image

Image
Jézus egyik jól ismert példázata a Máté evangélium 13. részében található. Akkor honnan jöttek ezek a gyomok?

Isa 8:12 and 1Pt 3:13

The parallel verses about the Lord of Hosts Isa 8:12 Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the LORD of hosts, Him you shall honor, sanctify as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he will become a sanctuary... 1Pt 3:13 who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor, sanctify Christ the Lord as holy. ♜

Broken and Blessed

Image
navigare necesse est written for the matured... As Oswald Chambers told it, we should be people " like broken bread and spilled wine ". What could he be referring to? Throughout the Bible we can find examples of people being "broken" for serving others. Moses was called by God to endure endless waves of murmuring and criticism as he led the people into the Promised Land. Throughout his life Joseph was betrayed, imprisoned and forced to live as a slave in Egypt for a time. Many prophets experienced this brokenness. In each case, God allowed these situations to happen so that the lives of His people would be the scene of His grace and providence, not only for their own sake but for the sake of others. God is able to use us in this way. Mark's Gospel quotes the miracle of the broken loaves, and – in both cases {Ch. 6&8} – it says : "he blessed and broke them" and Matthew also mentioned the blessing and the breaking. Br...

Szellem által éljetek és

Image
A test cselekedetei nyilvánvalóak: paráznaság, tisztátalanság, kicsapongás, bálványimádás, varázslás, ellenségeskedés, viszálykodás, féltékenység, harag, veszekedés, széthúzás, pártoskodás, irigység, részegeskedés, tivornyázás és ehhez hasonló dolgok...

Live by the Spirit, and...

Image
Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. Gal. 5:16 if you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law. the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.

Image
from the book: "Authority" by Martyn Lloyd-Jones ... A Szent Szellem...

We think that we alone can do it

Image
from the book: "Authority" by Martyn Lloyd-Jones ... A statement in the Psalms says, ‘He that dwelleth in the heavens shall laugh’, and I believe that God sometimes laughs at the Church. He sees us ready to put out our hands to steady the ark. We think that we alone can do it. We are greatly concerned. We hold our conferences and bring out our proposals. But they come to nothing. Then, when we are quite exhausted, after all our great campaigns, conferences and our brilliant organization, and after we have spent all our money, and things have still gone from bad to worse, God unexpectedly – in the last place where you would ever have expected Him to do so and through the last person you would ever have thought of – suddenly sheds forth the Spirit. Then the Church rises to a new period of glory, of power and of influence. Men and women are converted in masses, and the power of the truth is again upon them. The Holy Spirit manifests His authority in the Ch...
