Are we sinners?
We cannot live a full and holy life apart from God. We were created to live and work with Him in community.
If we accepted the propitiation we have done with the old life. We are new citizens, new breed, we have new ID in the Holy family.
Unlike Adam and his heritage, we are not in the domain of the evil one. Jesus took of the price of our Sin status — once and for all. But due to humanity's dark past, we are still prone to continue making mistakes, living insensitively, falling, and occasionally committing harsh sins.
However, Jesus, the faithful High Priest, intercedes for us from the very moment of our first repentance with His holy blood. We repent, confess our sins, and are cleansed. Reset. Everything is back to the original state. Adam's dark legacy and his descendant has passed away.
I repeat: salvation is Christ's work, but sanctification is a process and a joint action with God. His Holy Spirit and His Holy Son will work in the life of the believer.
As for those who are trying to be a good and accepted person: it is absolutely contrary to the redemption. Something cannot be freely given and have a price tag on it at the same time. If it has a price and someone has bought it for you — it doesn't have to be purchased again.
Fortunately Jesus' mission is for everyone. Literally, everyone is invited to the new status. He says:
the real, living Jesus doesn't claim or demand any further price from You! The initiation is on His side: You can react, or can be passive, even defensive... but be aware! Love is in the air, and love is not pushy. Christ's domain is relational, brings a new intimacy into your life alongside the new identity.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”
(Matt. 11:28).
The only religion that offers free solution for the sin is Christ's "religion". In every religious system You must go and do something, take action to resolve the conflict between You and the supernatural. Despite the various look-alike (Matt. 11:28).
