Ennek a szeretetnek a megismerése

-

The good shepherd — the real-life example

My name is Dr. Ken Bailey. It was my privilege to teach New Testament for almost 40 years across the Middle East, mostly in Arabic, and the subject we have is a continuation of our series of studies on primary images for leadership in the New Testament. We looked first at servant, (...) and we have introduced the subject of the Good Shepherd. We saw that God is the Good Shepherd. Then we looked and saw that Jesus is the Good Shepherd. We are going to take a third text that focuses on Jesus as the Good Shepherd, and then move on to see two primary texts where the Good Shepherd is applied to early Christian leadership. The pastoral image Of all of the symbols in the New Testament about leadership, this certainly has prominence, and it has prominence throughout church history. Many churches refer to the leader of the congregation as the pastor . That's a pastoral image. It is another way of saying 'he is our shepherd'. And so the text that we need to look a...

Miért építünk trónt Istennek - 2

A mikor Jézus megszületett három részből álló ajándékcsomagot kapott a mitikus Távol-Keletről érkező bölcsektől. Visszajelzésünk – Isten előtti (lelki) gyakorlatunk A következő mélyreható tanítás Pál apostoltól származik, aki valóban megértette a „halál–élet” dinamika jelentőségét.

The Kingdom transforms

{grace, community, kingdom and love} an extract from Simon Elliott’s sermon Everyday Church Wimbledon ... Grace ... Based on Christ's performance on the cross as an expression of God's grace, God's riches at Christ's expense. Grace is not cheap. It costs God everything. And grace does not make us passive. Grace enables us to say no to ungodliness. Obedience has not got me into the presence of God, but grace births in me obedience. I can now love God because I was first loved by God . I can now pursue holiness, not because it qualifies me, but because I have been qualified by grace, and therefore I can live out the good of grace in my life. And praise the Lord, I'm not called to do that alone. Community Yes, I walk in step with the Holy Spirit, so I'm at that level, never alone, but I'm also called to be part of a community. God is community, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created out of community. We're told the Father...
