Adoration, Worship, Prayer Culture

Some thoughts about the
Adoration, Worship and Prayer culture

For we know in part,
and we prophesy in part.
But when the perfect comes,
the partial will come to an end.
When I was a child,
I spoke like a child,
I thought like a child,
I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man,
I put aside childish things.

For now we see indistinctly, as in a mirror,
but then face to face.
Now I know in part,
but then I will know fully,
as I am fully known.
1Cor 13:9

3 main perspectives

1st: About Jesus Christ. When we want to pray effectively and in sync with the Father, we have to approach and understand the Lord's prayer spiritually, understanding His preferences. We are to pray in the environment of constant prayer. It means that the royal priesthood {1Pt 2:9} prays according to the prayer of the High Priest, Jesus: "Your will be done.. as it is in the Heaven.
What is happening in the Heaven right now? Constant adoration, homage in awe, Different expressions of respect, honor, interceding prayer on Jesus' side, actions commands on the Father's side.
In our earthly house of Prayer We can live by holy empowerment, inspired by the Spirit, living by the heavenly authority – when/if we live in sync with Jesus' purposes. Then we'll radiate & reflect his light.
His prayer is the key:

Our Father Prayer

This prayer touches the important background of the NT priesthood: helps us in the understanding of the actual Melchizedek order {Psalm 110:1,4-5 and Heb 7:11-19} and Jesus' real authority: His highest priestly rank:

Jesus is better priest

2nd: about us. We need to come together for certain purposes - not simply for experience. We are to meet God, Our Dear Father. We are to build The Throne with reverence and awe.
The throne of the Lord gives us the river of the life (John 7:37-38; Rev 22:1). That place is the "base camp" of our mission field/s.

We need to come together, as a sweet aroma to the Lord. Our task is: assembling the Prayer Team/s, the worship team, the ushers, the service team members, the pastoral team, we are to build priestly tasks by understanding the orchestration - a not well known concept in the protestant culture.
Orchestration starts with the instruments: building and maintaining them...

Cambridge dict: Orchestration

Although orchestration has musical forms, it is organisationally beyond musical circles.
We know that well working organic systems are built by persons who are thriving in their positions. They are no necessarily musical or artist folks but they are devoted, fervent folks for the Lord's will and glory. We are the (musical) instruments in the prayer / worship /adoration team - one by one, a unique beauty. {by the way: the phrase "unity, same will" used in the Bible is sometimes translated as "harmony". The word "symphony" is a much more accurate rendering of the apostolic image. The latter gives a very different and greater possibility: it is not merely an emotional term but refers to the composition.}

3rd: about the to-do. We have to be more familiar with the roles of the prayer, worship, adoration, praises. We practice them in multiple forms: sometimes in artistic (representative, creative) forms, sometimes in prosaic way, or through practical tasks, managing such events in leadership forms, or supporting them in prophetic forms, etc.
Read 1Cor 13:8-10 carefully in the perspective of the arrived and the coming (full) Kingdom.
Our keyword is the steadfast, devoted heart, focusing on our mission, not the technique.
The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; yet he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the land. Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit.
Jms 5:17-18

3/b (technically)
It means using and learning the technical cultural backgrounds in the prayer rooms, places of worship and adoration. Using spiritual biblical sources with simple scheduled tasks in the 24/7 house of prayer & adoration, skillfully using technical, musical- instrumental stuff /working with this staff, finding understanding personal strength and weakness in the lives of members, prophets or team leaders. etc
3/c (community)
Last but not least – Prayer adoration worship comes together in the Family. And the prayer team is a mini family. We are to encourage nurture and help each other since we have partial knowledge & partial strength.
We need the Lord's compassion to be compassionate. We need each other compassion and caring heart.

Just a Few Examples:

• Multifaceted cultural background, folk music, non pop culture, dance, creative art
For example, hymns:
hymns youtube video

• Various gears and tech skills, eg. using Ableton sound gears (and other helper stuff) on the stage:
seed to stage course video (limited time edition)
Small church sound tips

• performing arts, performances, "showcases", etc. In 1Pt 2:9 we read: "out-representing" { ex-aggelos}, not simply "proclaiming". His character, the beauty, the wisdom, the harmony, developing the intimacy with the Holy One by prophetic dance & prayer
Visual art by house of prayer, prayer tower (hu) youtube video
Machol Danse la Vie (fr) youtube video

So, let me say this is the minimum, focused outline, little examples, fragments of the infinite possibilities, a kickstart, how a worship, prayer and adoration school being built in the centers of our mission fields... However I would like to emphasise that this kind of school is not narrowed to art or emotional approach. The story of IHOP Kansas City or the history of the HTB shows us the multiple possibilities led by skillful pastors and leaders. And the background is the 24-7 prayer and adoration.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good.
1Thess 5:16

When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
