Desiring mercy - love
When Jesus/Yeshua/Isa was humiliated and lashed he had to learn the total annihilation.
Annihilation by Sin and the mechanically used Law.
By Sin: through our human cruel nature.
By Law: through human "rules" the misunderstanding of the Holy Law, the ineffectiveness of the so called Law-culture. Facing its cruelty when it faces the mercy, release, grace and the domain of reconciliation.
Hos 6:6 says:
Consequently: If The knowledge of Gd is mercy, it's action.
The knowledge of Gd is knowing/practicing His thoughts and living out them: This is how we read:"walking in the Truth" . John says:
This is the Truth - it comes with counterculture. Godliness comes with suffering in the "post truth" generation.
Let us focus on the Lord's Voice now:

Hos 6:6 says:
"I desire mercy {loyalty-love}
not sacrifice
The knowledge of Gd
not burnt offerings"
This is an essential ingredient for the dynamic of the Kingdom, even today. Knowledge of Gd = faithful loyal love. Mercy, (even when confronted with secular order, trend, or religious spirits) = sync with Gd. not sacrifice
The knowledge of Gd
not burnt offerings"
Consequently: If The knowledge of Gd is mercy, it's action.
The knowledge of Gd is knowing/practicing His thoughts and living out them: This is how we read:
I was very glad when some brothers came and testified to your faithfulness to the truth — how you are walking in the truth.
3Jn 1:3
Walking in the Truth is walking according to Gd's Word and walking in Love. (see 2Jn 1:4-6) 3Jn 1:3

Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare Your praise.
You do not want a sacrifice, or I would give it;
You are not pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit.
God, You will not despise a broken and humbled heart.
Ps 51:15-17

You do not want a sacrifice, or I would give it;
You are not pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit.
God, You will not despise a broken and humbled heart.
