Depression or Glory
Who I am?
Depression exists when we underestimate ourselves. When we look at ourselves on the natural way & observe the visible things: we turn away from the Heaven.The writer of the Ecclesiastes {King Salomon} says:
“Absolute futility,” says the Teacher.
“Absolute futility. Everything is futile.”
What does a man gain for all his efforts that he labors at under the sun?
Ecc 1:2-3

Perspective
The above-mentioned section shows a problem. The problem of the perspective: "under the sun". King Salomon started his life with splendour and glory and finished with multiple wives and concubines - alongside their multiple gods/goddesses...Well... We're not meant to focus on things "under the sun". If we did, we missed the point. Let us only be illuminated from the side of heaven!
When adoration & praise happen, alongside with the worship – Heaven happens. This was the original, Davidic heritage for Salomon!
2Chron 5
7 The priests brought the ark of the Lord’s covenant to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the most holy place, beneath the wings of the cherubim.
...
11 Now all the priests who were present had consecrated themselves regardless of their divisions. When the priests came out of the holy place, 12 the Levitical singers dressed in fine linen and carrying cymbals, harps, and lyres were standing east of the altar, and with them were 120 priests blowing trumpets.
13 The trumpeters and singers joined together to praise and thank the Lord with one voice. They raised their voices, accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and musical instruments, in praise to the Lord:
Glory exists/appears when Holy Spirit exist and we represent, adore and magnify Gd and His Son. 7 The priests brought the ark of the Lord’s covenant to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the most holy place, beneath the wings of the cherubim.

"For He is good;
His faithful love endures forever."
The Temple, the Lord’s Temple, was filled with a cloud. 14 And because of the cloud, the priests were not able to continue ministering, for the glory of the Lord filled God’s Temple.
His faithful love endures forever."
Act 16:25-26
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the jail were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains came loose.

Who do you listen to? This is a battle.
The crucial question shows us how to deal with the carnal dimension. For many, this is the hardest part: not listening to the flesh - listening to the Spirit.
Rm 8:12-14
brothers and sisters, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— for if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

Seeing our status
If we get to Gd's mighty Court {through the worship} we will be filled with the Spirit of Truth, having been informed thatOur adoption means belonging and heritage – according to the Family's redemption. No fear but safety. Not loneliness but a team in the Redemption:
Rm 8:15-17
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, butyou received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ — seeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but
Royal Priesthood, Holy Nation
We are Royal Priesthood with privilege and authority.
1Pt 2:9
you are a chosen race, a Royal Priesthood,
a Holy Nation, a people for His possession,
so that you mayproclaim/represent the excellencies
of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

of the One
Apart from the stubborn mistranslation of this passage - we have a huge privilege. We are the High Priest's priesthood nation, His followers.
The Royal Priesthood is not a Sunday time-frame, reducing the "worship" to some musical activity, mainly a prep for the speech. Priesthood is a lifestyle.
We have an always ruling & praying High Priest, we are His followers:
Heb 9:11-12
But the Messiah has appeared, High Priest of the good things that have come. In the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands (that is, not of this creation),
He entered the most holy place once for all, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.
Heb 7:24-25
..because He remains forever, He holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore,He is always able to save those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them.
Heb 13:15
Through Him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.

Our Glory in the unity
When we speak about unity - we focus on the Holy unity {vs. Babel's unity}. It is crucial to see the zizanion in the Church {!} and we should build the unity very carefully! We are united with the Holy One - all unholy things hinder this intimate relationship and the process of throne building. Any leader who is pursuing church growth might consider: do you want church-goers - or holy unity?
Jn 17:21-23
May they all be one,
as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You.
May they also be one in Us,
so the world may believe You sent Me.
I have given them the glory You have given Me.
May they be one as We are one.
I am in them and You are in Me.
May they be made completely one,
so the world may know You have sent Me
and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Jn 4:23-24
the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him.God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth..

This priestly {continuous, in-the-truth} service builds the Throne. The Lord is for us - literally nothing can be against us.

and a double-edged sword in their hands

Choose the Glory!
We can get "Perspective" from at least 3 places. From where?
The real Glory depends on...?
What our belonging and heritage is based on?

Ps 68
1 LET God rise up, let his enemies be scattered;
let those who hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away;
as wax melts before the fire,
let the wicked perish before God.
3 But let the righteous be joyful;
let them exult before God;
let them be jubilant with joy.
