A priestly manner, Christian character– worthy of the gospel of Christ

... he had to become like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in the service of God, to make a sacrifice of atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself was tested by what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested.
Heb 2:17
Christ did not glorify himself in becoming a High Priest, but was appointed by the one who said to him,
“You are my Son,
today I have begotten you”;
as he says also in another place,
“You are a Priest forever,
according to the order of Melchizedek”.

Heb 5:5
In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.
Heb 5:7
...you are a chosen race, a Royal Priesthood,a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim /represent the noble character of Him Who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Once you were not a people,
but now you are God’s people;
Once you had not received mercy,
but now you have received mercy.
1Pt 2:9
I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1Tim 2:1
His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
...that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may become participants of the divine nature.
2Pt 1:3-4
As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselveswith compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Col 3:12
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,
who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death—
even death on a cross.
Phil 2:5
... we always pray for you, asking that our God will make you worthy of his call and will fulfill by his powerevery good resolve and work of faith, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thess 1:11
Only, live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ,so that, whether I come and see you or am absent and hear about you, I will know that you are standing firm in one spirit, striving side by side with one mind for the faith of the gospel, and are in no way intimidated by your opponents. For them this is evidence of their destruction, but of your salvation. And this is God’s doing...
Phil 1:27
Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.
For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2Pt 1:10-11
the entire fullness of God's nature dwells bodily in Christ, and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Col 2:9-10
