Organically Orchestrated

Musicians - Armando Barrios

Few of the music lovers know that in a classical orchestra there are not only many different instruments, but that these groups of instruments are organically connected to the various human characters who play on them. By this I mean that various musical instruments typically attract a certain specific human character.
It is certain that few flute players will go to the football match with you and I'm also sure that numerous clarinetist will invite you to the pub for a pint of beer.
Of course this is a gross generalisation and there are many exceptions. However, the inescapable fact is that there are unfortunately trends in the West where ensuring diversity even within music groups is a policy. This leads to the conclusion that ethnic cultural differences play a greater role in the selection of orchestra members than a harmonious relationship between the person and the instrument, and a high level of knowledge of the instrument.
When I say "it's in the West", I am thinking primarily of managerial thinking, which is why this is so.
And these bands don't even sound so colorful, or dynamic or... fallible. Somehow - in comparison with the eastern culture - their sound is "always" collected, sober, homogeneous and the central goal is not the emotional brightness, dynamics or saturation of the music.
