Scriptures about Adoration and Magnifying the Lord
1. Psalm 22:3 - „Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel."
The Lord sits enthroned on our praises! As we come into agreement with His Kingship, we release His power and authority in the earth realm! He has given authority of the earth to the sons of man, and we have the great privilege to usher in His dominion through our worship and agreement with Him.
2. Psalm 69:30-31 „I will praise the name of God with song and magnify Him with thanksgiving. And it will please the LORD better than an ox or a young bull with horns and hoofs”.
God desires our affection first and foremost, the first commandment is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength! This is more important than our sacrifices or what we can do for Him. He is after our love!
3. Revelation 7:12 „Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, {be} to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Adoration is the pattern we see in heaven! The Lord is surrounded by worship and adoration continually throughout all of eternity. When we come into agreement with heaven, we release that glory and majesty into our surroundings on earth... "on earth as it is in heaven!"
To appreciate and value Him
To adore is to appreciate and value Him for who He is and to give Him the love He is due in all arenas and seasons of life. To adore is to give Him honor and receive His love. Hebrews 12:3 - „For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
To adore Him is to love Him
To adore Him is to love Him more than gold and silver. To adore Him is to love Him more than all of the pleasures this world has to offer.
SOS 1:2 „...for your love is better than wine"
Phil 3:8 „More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus - my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ."
